Purpose :
1. Students are able to improve their listening skill.
2. Students
are able to recognize and understand the simple past tense form of the sentence
in the lyrics of the song.
3. Students
are able to understand the usefulness of simple past tense in daily life.
D. Level : Senior High School
E. Time : 15 minutes.
F.
Participants : 6students / more
G. Materials : Taylor Swift’s song ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’, Laptop
/ mp3 player, speaker, lyric sheets, Board marker, Whiteboard.
H. Procedure :
1) Divide students into 2 groups
/ more consisting of 3 students.
2) Share the lyric sheets in each group.
3) Give
instruction to students to fill in the missing lyrics of the lyric sheets in
accordance with the song that will be played.
4) Play the song!
5) Repeat playing
the song one more time if the
students has not completed the task.
6) Ask
each group to swap their worksheets to other groups to be corrected and discuss
the sentences together.
7) The
group that has the most correct answers is the winner.
