A.   Definition of Adjective Phrase

Adjective phrase is a group of words which consists of an adjective (as head), modifier, determiner, qualifier, and intensifier. The main function of the adjective phrase is as an adverb to describe a noun. The position could be placed before the noun (as attributive) or after a linking verb (as predicative).

B.   Explanation about The Modifier, Determiner, and Intensifier which Used in Adjective Phrase

Modifier

Modifier is a word, phrase, or clause that functions as an adjective or adverb. Modifier can be before the adjective (premodifier) or after the adjective (post modifier). In the case of adjective phrase, premodifier which used in the form is simple adjective or adverb (only one word), while the post modifier can be either an infinitive or a prepositional phrase.
Example (adjective phrase = italic; modifier = underline):
Certain to happen, afraid of the dark, angry with you

Determiner

Determiner commonly used to describe the adjective is an article, either definite (the) or indefinite articles (a, an); quantifier (many, few, little, some, etc); distributive (all, every, both, etc), demonstrative adjective (this, that, these, those); and a possessive adjective (my, your, his, her, etc).
Example (adjective phrase = italic; determiner = underline):
the beautiful house, many young men, all poor countriesthis delicious cakeour sweet moment, that smart kid.
Intensifier
Intensifier is an adverb that functions emphasize, amplify, or down-tone an adjective.
Examples of Adjective Phrase (intensifier = underline):
partially complete, rather unfaithful, very smart. 

C.   Types of Adjective Phrase
Adjective Phrase has two types:
  1. Predicative Adjective.
  2.  Attributive Adjective.

Predicative adjective is an adjective phrase that serves as the predicate. The position is after the verb / linking verb, and not serve to describe a noun.
Examples:
1.      I am so afraid.
2.      She is quite beautiful.
3.      She looks totally confused.
4.      Your video games are very pricey.
5.      You are highly enthusiastic.

Attributive Adjective used to describe a noun. This phrase is placed before the noun.
Examples:
1.      You are an extremely beautiful woman.
2.      I know that, he is a terribly bad person.
3.      Do you like this sweet juicy orange?
4.      She becomes a very angry woman.
5.      I like this extremely dark room.

D.   Examples of Adjective Phrase in The Sentences
1.      You are like an extremely tired worker.
2.      She feels fairly bored with you.
3.      He is very serious person.
        4.      She bought a long black dress.
        5.      I feel very excited.
